The Tigers face a very athletic 2-6 team in the College of Sequoias Giants.
COS is a very talented at the skill positions on offense, with running multi-purpose back Cougar Williams, being their big playmaker.
Defensively the Giants run to the ball well but have given up big plays. In order for Reedley to pick up its second win, the Tigers must execute in all 3 areas (offense/defense/kicking game) and win the turnover battle.
Adding to the afternoon's excitement will be the Homecoming festivities. It will be nice to get a large crowd to see the game!
Go Tigers!!

Here comes Delta!
After a tough road loss against Sierra College, Reedley College will have to brace for a very good San Joaquin Delta squad. The Tigers will have their work cut out for them as Delta brings a physical running game that'll test RC defensively. A key for a win will be just that: Stoping their running game.
After struggling on offense the previous week against Sierra, Reedley will to sustain drives offensively!
Game time will be at 1 p.m. at Reedley High School.

Another road game
Definitely a tough game last week as the Tigers came away disappointed with an overtime loss against Hartnell College. It was another case of too many mistakes and too little too late.
Reedley College is definitely going through some growing pains with the youth of this year’s team. Another challenge awaits tomorrow as the Tigers face Sierra College who are coming off a road win, their first win of the season.
Before returning home next week, RC is expected to play better and come home with a road win!

Time for Cabrillo
Reedley College's football team had a tough time against San Mateo. Offensively, the Tigers were inconsistent and could not get things into gear.
Defensively, the team struggled with a case of "Bad Eyes Disease". This causes the defense to play slow and passive something the Tigers can't afford to happen on Saturday. Reedley will play host to a Cabrillo College squad that pulled off a huge emotional last second win against an athletic Solano team.
Game time is 7 p.m. at Reedley High School.

Time to grow
Reedley College's season opener didn't go as planned as the Tigers lost to visiting Foothill College, 41-33.
RC's youth showed in the form of four unforced errors and a critical offside penalty on a 4th down situation in the second half. The Tigers also were haunted by a muffed handoff exchange, and a bad snap resulting in a short TD by the Owls.
Reedley will have to grow up in a hurry and are hoping to look sharper heading into their first road game of the season against a talented San Mateo squad. San Mateo didn't do well its season opener losing to Fresno City last week.

The countdown continues
Reedley College's football team will be in action at 7 pm. Saturday at Reedley High school as the Tigers host the Foothill Owls in a season opener for both teams.
Foothill ended its season with a 9-2 record capped off by a 28-16 win over Sacramento City in the Silicon Valley Bowl.
A quick look at Foothill's roster shows the Owls with 25 sophomores.
Reedley's roster currently has 15 sophomores with a lot of new but talented freshmen.
After their scrimmage this past Thursday, the great news had to be no injuries and that's always a good thing!
Coach Randy Whited was pleased with the overall toughness of the squad. The team will keep grinding while the coaching staff continues to encourage daily improvements.
Help spread the word about the game and fill the stands.

Productive week
The Tigers have had a productive week of practice.
The new freshman have been receiving praise as they are athletic and have adapted well to the football program's goals in academics and on the field.
With the annual Orange and Black scrimmage scheduled for Sept. 1 at Reedley High School, the Tigers have a few more "team" phases to morph through, but overall coaches are very pleased with the progress of the young men to this point.
Don't forget Sunday at 6:30 p.m., the public is invited to attend the Meet the Players night at the Reedley College dorms.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the players!
